CLS Wind files first international patent applications
CLS Wind files initial patent applications across multiple jurisdictions, covering the platform principle, load path, and connection geometries for both onshore and offshore variants.
CLS Wind has filed its first international patent applications. The applications cover the core platform principle that loads route through structural chords directly into the foundation, monopile, or floater rather than through the existing tower; the connection geometries that make this load path work for new build, in-service, and floating applications; and the operator-directed control architecture that uses real-time sensor feedback for safety and performance monitoring.
The filing strategy targets the jurisdictions with the largest installed and pipeline wind fleets, with selective omission of lower-priority markets to keep total IP spend under control. All filings are patent-pending. None of the technology is in granted-patent status, and CLS Wind is careful to describe the IP correctly across investor and partner materials.
Patent filings are coordinated by the co-founders, with technical filings reviewed by the engineering team.
