Built for taller, heavier, wind turbines.
CLS Wind develops sensor-informed, operator-directed elevating systems for the wind industry. The technology has two product lines. KINKA LIFT™ is the onshore platform, designed for installation, major component replacement, re-powering, and decommissioning. ORCA LIFT™ is the offshore platform, with variants for fixed-foundation and floating wind. Both are patent-pending.
§ 01
The principle
The technology is built on more than 70 years of proven oil and gas jack-up engineering, repurposed for the loads and geometries of modern wind. Conventional cranes scale exponentially with both turbine height and component weight; the CLS Wind platform scales linearly. Vertical loads run through structural chords into the foundation, monopile, or floater rather than the tower.
